Enriched Air, also known as “nitrox”, is a form of breathing gas that allows divers to extend bottom time and reduce nitrogen loading. It is PADI's most popular specialty course. PADI Enriched Air Diver Online can be completed in as little as an afternoon.
After completing your online learning you'll apply the knowledge you've learned by practicing procedures for obtaining and analyzing enriched air with your PADI Instructor which won't take more than 2 hours to do.
You'll learn why diving with air that has higher oxygen and lower nitrogen content gives you more bottom time, along with enriched air equipment considerations.
During a practical session, you’ll:
· Discuss managing oxygen exposure.
· Practice analyzing oxygen content in your scuba tank.
· Set your dive computer for diving with enriched air nitrox.
*This course fee covers your online training, assessments and certification card.
This certification counts towards the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating.
Combination of natural and compass navigation. Imagine being able to find your way back to the spot where you started the dive from and re-visit interesting sites down below that you found on previous dives.
Its not as some people think, mysterious and intimidating, in fact, this course teaches you how to plan & carry out deep dives safely and confidently. From historic shipwrecks to dramatic walls, training as a deep diver opens up a whole world of exploration.
Experience the thrill and adventure of night diving. Plunge into an exciting yet mysterious environment where you will see aquatic life and underwater surroundings in a new light.
Whether you are looking to recover family heirlooms, sunken treasure or grandpa's dentures, this course will teach you appropriate search patterns along with different methods for recovering and bringing to the surface lost or sunken objects.
Where the past meets the present, experience the rush of excitement that few other dives can duplicate, the challenge of discovering, exploring and entering wrecks is something few divers can resist.
It's what separates great divers from good divers, extend your bottom time, interact longer with marine life, spend longer exploring the underwater world, prolong the life of your dive gear.
Astronauts and scuba divers have a common trait, they are operating in a zero gravity state. Neutral buoyancy is where you neither sink nor float – you are as close to zero gravity as you can get on earth (for extended timeframes).
Achieving neutral buoyancy will make you a better diver. In becoming a better and stronger diver, you’ll be able to better enjoy your underwater surroundings.
Proper weighting is a significant step in achieving neutral buoyancy.
If a diver carries too much weight, they may be able to establish and maintain a neutral state, but they are doing so by using a greater amount of air in the BCD to counter the extra weight. This also leads to additional air consumption due to the added resistance of the inflated BCD.
A diver that is even slightly under-weighted will find themselves fighting to maintain a depth for a safety stop and they may float up when they do not want to.
Divers who are properly weighted will find it easier to maintain neutral buoyancy and consequently, will use less air and gain a longer dive. Being properly weighted will ensure you feel more comfortable overall.
The Buoyancy Workshop
Attending our workshop will help you develop and practice your skills to become the ultimate buoyancy master.
The workshops are open to divers of all levels – ranging from newly certified open water divers through to experienced divers. We will develop the skills you already have and continue to refine and enhance them so that you can become a better, more advanced diver.
These workshops will show you the importance of proper weight selection, tank positioning, and weight distribution. You’ll be able to properly trim your gear so you can be perfectly balanced, allowing you to move smoothly through the water and hover easily in a horizontal or, even, a vertical position.
We have set out a variety of skills, tasks and obstacles ranging from novice to expert that you can come along and practice during the clinics – until you become a buoyancy ninja!
